First Quarter
Monday
Brainstorm words for each spelling patterns.
Tuesday
Spell words “triangle” method.
Example:

“See, Say, Cover, Print, Check” by writing words three times each
Use hand motions to help remember:
 See – point to eyes (look at the word)
 Say – point to mouth (say the word out loud)
 Cover – clap hands together horizontally (cover the word with your
hand)
 Print – make “swooping” motion as if something has gone through a
printer (write the word)
 Check – make a large check mark in the air (check to see if you
spelled the word correctly)
 Repeat this process three times in a row with your first word. Then
start again at the beginning with your next word.
