Introducing the New Program Coordinator
Kimberly McFall will be taking over for me as school library media program coordinator
as of Aug. 17. Professor McFall is a native of Arkansas who earned her Bachelor of Arts
from Arkansas State Tech in Russellville, AR, a Masters of Library Science from
Appalachian State University in Boone, NC, and an Educational Specialists degree from
Arkansas State University in Jonesboro. She is currently finishing her dissertation to
complete her Doctorate in Educational Leadership at ASU.
Professor McFall is an 18-year veteran of the K-12 classroom, having taught Music and
Media in Texas, North Carolina, and Arkansas. Besides teaching professional
development on local, district and state levels, she has also been a teaching assistant at
the higher education level. She is thrilled to be on faculty at Marshall University.
Professor McFall states, “Ever since I became a media specialist, teaching teachers has
been my passion. I look forward to working with the students in this program.” Professor
McFall can be reached as of Aug. 17 at mcfallk@marshall.edu.
I have enjoyed working with you over these past years and have been very impressed by
your experience, enthusiasm and commitment to teaching and librarianship. I will
continue to serve as your advisor until Professor McFall takes over next month.
