MAJOR: BACHELOR OF ARTS IN DANCE
The Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance offers classes in the four main dance disciplines –
Modern, Ballet, Jazz and Tap – within a broad Liberal Arts environment. Areas of
concentration are offered that mirror your career goals. The B.A. in Dance degree leads
to preparation for careers in performing, teaching, dance history, choreography, directing,
dance medicine, dance journalism, and arts and entertainment management.
Students in Dance at Dean College are exposed to multiple performance opportunities
each year including student choreography showcases and master classes with recognized
guest artists. They also benefit from the opportunity to participate in on-campus auditions
with agents and a unique relationship with Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre.
