5. Leading for the Future
This is an innovative approach to leadership and management development for senior managers in NHS Scotland which is co-ordinated by the National Leadership Unit and run collaboratively with fifteen of the 22 Health Boards.
This section of Leadership & Management (on The Knowledge Network) is targeted specifically for participants of Leading for the Future . If you are not a participant and you are interested in finding out more, please see contact details below.
Leading for the Future is a package of leadership and management development which has been designed specifically for those in senior leadership and management roles across NHS Scotland.
It comprises several flexible learning and development elements, rather than being a fixed training programme. The approach recognises the diversity of those in senior leadership and management roles across NHS Scotland.
It is co-ordinated and delivered by a team of facilitators from across the Boards involved in the programme and the National Leadership Unit (NLU). For each of the participating Boards, there is a named contact.
Participation in all three core elements is required. However, how participants blend their experience across the three elements is dependent on individual development needs and learning style. During the preparatory phase (March - April), participants are expected to identify your development goals and start accessing the on line resources.
To make the most of the experience on Leading for the Future, there is some preparatory work to be undertaken.
