4 Annual Cal Eta Cabo San Lucas Retreat
February 6th - February 11th, 2007
The Alumni Retreat Committee of the Gold Coast Alumni Association would like to invite you to attend
this year’s retreat. For the fourth year in a row, Jerry Nelson (UCLA ’48) has graciously opened up his
compound in Los Cabos, Baja California to all Cal Eta Alumni and their family members.
As in the past, this year’s retreat will again be scheduled this winter, from Tuesday February 6th through
Sunday/Monday February 11th/12th (your choice depending on airfare), Only Phi Psi alumni and their
family members will be present at Jerry’s compound for this fun-filled week.
The sole obligation of Brothers attending will be airfare and any spending while in town in Cabo San
Lucas. Flights should be booked into Cabo San Lucas/Los Cabos, Mexico (Airport Code: SJD). All food
and drink while at the compound, accommodations, transportation, and other amenities are taken care of by
Brother Nelson.
While this is an excellent time to catch up with brothers you may have lost contact with over a beer, we
will also be holding meetings to discuss some important topics. Topics covered at this year’s retreat will
include:

Planning of alumni events for the year 2007, as well as a re-cap of the 40th anniversary and other
events held in 2006.
Discussion regarding the newly acquired chapter house, and ancillary issues (i.e. House
Corporation)
Negotiation Workshop – Paul Wineman (Washington ’55), a professional negotiator on behalf of
corporations such as Kraft Foods, Anheuser-Busch and, Tyson Foods, will provide all alumni with
a seminar on negotiation. In the past, alumni have commented on the excellent professional
development nature of this workshop.
This is an incredible opportunity to have a vacation for only the cost of a flight and some spending money.
