UR Orientation Program: Overview:
The University of Rochester holds a week long fall Orientation Program (August 23-30, 2015)
for freshmen and transfer students, and a two day Parent/Sibling Orientation Program. The
Orientation Staff strives to provide a welcoming environment to new students and their families
as well as expose them to the Rochester Community.
In order to prepare a highly memorable Orientation Program for the Class of 2019, we want to
involve our student groups to help plan and facilitate some of the activities as part of Orientation.
We ask that your proposals be well thought out and take into consideration the diverse needs of
the incoming students.
Proposals that will not be considered
 Hosting additional speakers during Orientation
 Activities that are exclusive to one group
 Groups that attempt to recruit new members into their organization
*Please note that the committee will only consider information submitted with this proposal. You
must fill out this form completely answering all questions.
