Students, School of Social Work, University of
Windsor
PLEASE NOTE: This document is always a work in progress. All options listed below,
including values of awards, application process and deadlines, are only a guide.
They change from year to year and are contingent on available funds. Always check
with the Awards Office for specific details for the year in which you are applying.
Helpful Guidelines
 Applications can be made either prior to acceptance into the program or during any
year of study of the program
 References required for applications should be contacted at least one month prior to
the deadline
 There are many sports scholarships available that were not included in this list
since it’s main focus is on the School of Social Work, if you are a varsity athlete
please check the awards office for more funding opportunities
 Take advantage of the University of Windsor’s funding search. Log on to your
Student Portal (myUWindsor) click on “Financial Matters” then Awards” and
complete the awards search , or you can log onto University of Windsor, Student
Information System (SIS) @ http://www.uwindsor.ca/sis and search under
Awards Information
 Please use this website as a resource to find more funding opportunities:
http://www.uwindsor.ca/awards/scholarships-and-bursaries-0
Please go through the following list of financial resources and make note of any
that interest you. Many students do not take advantage of additional funding
resources because they find the process complicated and time consuming. This
booklet was created to help make the process easier and less time consuming.
Since scholarship information is always changing, it would be helpful if you
inform the Social Work Graduate Secretary of any erroneous or outdated
information.
The following list of awards are all tenable at the University of Windsor.
*All opportunities listed here are for consideration for all MSW students, including
MSW/JD students and MSWwp students unless it indicates MSW/JD and/or
