Dear Parents
Year 6 Annual Residential Trip to Kingswood,West Runton, Norfolk, 7th - 9th April.
We shall be leaving school at approximately 10.30am on Monday morning and plan to be at
the Centre at 2.30pm. During our visit, I shall be in regular contact with school and details
of our journey and activities will be posted on the school website. We aim, traffic
permitting, to arrive back at school at 5.00pm on Wednesday. Our arrival time back will be
regularly updated on the website so please check the site to save you waiting around for us
if we are delayed.
Can I remind you that mobile phones and electronic ‘gadgets’ such as PSPs are not allowed,
however a camera can be taken although this remains the responsibility of your child.
Please note that luggage should be kept to a minimum as the children have to carry their
own luggage to their dormitories. All items of clothing, including shoes and wellington boots
should be clearly labelled.
A packed lunch together with a supply of drinks, will be needed for the journey and this
should be in a separate bag so that it can be taken on the coach.
All medication needed by your child should be placed in a separate bag, clearly labelled with
your child’s name, exact details of times and amounts of medication to be administered and
given to me on Monday morning.
Finally, do not expect any contact from your child as there are no telephones at the centre
for public use. But if you do need to contact them in an emergency please either call
Mr Lowe at school or phone Kingswood direct on 01263 838384. Of course if I have any
concerns whatsoever about your child I will contact you direct.
