The 28 Annual Mary Kline Day
Featuring
Keynote Speaker – Erin Lopes ’10, RN, BSN, MPH
This year’s Mary Kline keynote speaker is Erin Lopes, RN, BSN, MPH, a 2010 graduate of the West Chester
University Department of Nursing Advance 2 BSN program. The title of Erin’s presentation is: Autism: The
Science, Treatment and Acceptance of One of the Most Prevalent Childhood Disorders.
Erin presently works at Riddle Memorial Hospital in the Nurse Residency Program in the ICU Step Down Unit.
She earned her master’s degree from UC Berkley and worked for the California Department of Public Health.
She is married with two children, one who has autism spectrum disorder. She has published and spoken
extensively on the topic of autism and has been involved with the Delaware County Family PDD/Autism
Spectrum Support Listserv and the Autism Resource Community of Lehigh Valley.
Panel presentation by WCU Alumni
Following the keynote speaker will be a panel presentation by WCU Alumni practicing in diverse roles and
clinical settings. The keynote address begins at 9 a.m. and will be followed by a luncheon for alumni, faculty,
and graduate students.
The Career Day Exhibit
The Career Day exhibit will be held in the Sturzebecker Health Sciences Center gymnasiums and will include
information about the WCU MSN program, RN-BSN program, Advance 2 BSN program along with
information for other health science majors. In addition, this will be a great event to attend if you are looking
for new employment opportunities.
