A few testimonials from University of Redlands alumni:
(Temecula campus*)
When several of my colleagues and I were looking for a graduate business degree program we considered several prominent business
schools in Southern California. After researching the various programs and their respective course menus, we found that the Master of
Arts in Management Program (MAM) from the University of Redlands School of Business offered the most well-rounded and relevant
coursework for our needs; and the University’s solid reputation in the business community was a valuable bonus as well. When we
contacted the Temecula Regional Campus to begin the application and enrollment process, we were highly impressed by the
professionalism of the staff, as well as the efficiency of the enrollment process. Upon beginning the MAM coursework I quickly
learned that the program was going to be life-changing. The program’s holistic design addresses the student as a whole person, with a
focus on further developing personal strengths and identifying areas for improvement. Throughout this growth process, the MAM
program infuses relevant and contemporary managerial coursework that enables the student to become a more competent manager and
true leader in their organization. I am truly proud to be a University of Redlands alumni and part of such a rich history of academic
excellence.
-Rob Firmes, Lieutenant, Murrieta Police Department
Master of Arts in Management, MAM 2009-
“The location of the Temecula campus can't really get any closer to Abbott than it is now. This makes it very convenient to head
straight to class right after work. The schedule works very well too. Having only one class a week has allowed me to maintain my
work/personal/school life balance. The faculty/staff are very helpful and friendly. My fellow classmates come from all backgrounds,
which I think is a good thing. However, we've all bonded in a very healthy way and will undoubtedly stay in contact after we all go
our separate ways. Overall, I would recommend earning an MBA from the University of Redlands. It is a reputable school that has
taught me well. I can definitely see a difference in myself (how I think, relate to others and how I make decisions) and in my
classmates. The University of Redlands has many Abbott students, which has helped my professional network, and is very easy to
work with for tuition reimbursement. I looked at a number of other schools when I first decided to get my MBA. The University of
Redlands provides a reputable, brick-and-mortar solution that is relatively inexpensive and close by. I know some other people that
are going to other schools that are not getting the same experience, and paying twice as much. Many of the state schools have MBA
programs that have huge classes, which make it harder to make close connections and get individual learning experiences, and cost
40k instead of 20k”.
-Matthew Pawluk, Master of Business Administration, MBA 2009, Manufacturing Engineer, Abbott Vascular,
“The University of Redlands provided me with a master’s education that truly equipped me with skills for real world and real job
situations. I also took advantage of U of R’s International Business offering to study abroad at Cambridge, UK which remains one of
my most enjoyable and enlightening educational experiences in my career”.
–Aaron Adams Master of Arts in Management, MAM 1998 -City of Temecula Assistant City Manager
“I am the Director of the Installation Personnel Administration Center (IPAC), aboard Camp Pendleton. The civilian billet equivalent,
is a Director of Human Resource that provides military pay and personnel services for over 40,000 Marines. This organization has
been directed to consolidate ten Personnel Admin Centers and charged with streamlining processes while reducing our workforce
structure of over 500 members by 11%. I have applied the knowledge gained from the Redlands MBA in every aspect of the
consolidation initiative. With my MBA, I am better equipped to lead the strategic implementation plan and employ the learned "best
business principles and practices" required for a successful reorganization. I inspire my employees to become positive change agents,
with a strong focus on customer service. Our goal is to execute proper administrative procedures that are effective and efficient for
both the customer and administrator”.
-Wayne Roseberry Master of Business Administration, MBA 2008, (GS-13), IPAC Director/PM Manpower MCB
Camp Pendleton
“When the opportunity arose and I was able to pursue my degree, University of Redlands provided the convenience and tools I needed
to make that happen. Redlands kept me motivated, with useful information provided in each class. I could use the information from
some classes immediately on the job. This learning experience has been very rewarding for both my career and personal life”.
--Mary Hoenig, Bachelor of Science in Business and Management BSBAM 2005 --Product Performance Analyst,
Abbott Vascular
“The education I received at the main campus of the University of Redlands opened doors of opportunity for me beyond my wildest
dreams. I have nothing but praise for the small classes and supportive, talented professors at the U of R. I received a Bachelor’s degree
in English with an Emphasis in Professional Writing in the early 1990s. One of my instructors at the U of R was able to help me land
an internship at the Los Angeles Times. Shortly after receiving my degree, I accepted a job offer in journalism, working for more than
a decade as a reporter and then an editor at the largest newspaper in the area in which I worked. I am now the director of marketing
and public information for Mt. San Jacinto College. I owe my success to the quality education I received at the U of R”.
-Karin Marriott, Bachelor of Arts in English 1994 Director Marketing/Public Information, Mt. San Jacinto College

“Attending the University of Redlands to complete my Bachelor's degree in Business and Management was one of the best decisions I
ever made. The Professors taught all classes at Abbott Vascular, my place of employment. The classes were held once a week for
four hours and each class was six weeks long. The accelerated program enabled me to graduate in only 2 1/2 years. The most
valuable asset I acquired was the ability to analyze situations and consider all available options...to think outside of the box. As I
matured through the program, I found that I was able to start using newly acquired information and tools in my professional career, as
well as my personal life. My writing skills improved dramatically by the end of the program. I was promoted shortly after
completing the BSBAM program. As soon as I completed my degree, I qualified for a large amount of job offerings at Abbott
Vascular that I would not have been qualified for without an undergraduate degree”.
Delette M. Beisner, Bachelor of Science in Business and Management, BSBAM 2005 --Whitehead Leadership
Society Quality Systems Business Analyst, Abbott Vascular
"I am proud to say I am a University of Redlands Graduate. Redlands University seemed just the right choice for me to fit right in to
my busy work schedule. After completing my Bachelor's at Redlands I knew I would return to complete my Master's. With the
encouragement from the Redlands University faculty, staff and my family. I finally completed my Master's Degree. I am the first
person in my immediate family to earn a Master's Degree. In fact, I am the only one of my generation on either side of my family to
do so. This makes me very proud. The graduation ceremony was very special to me and my family".
-Robin Sanchez, Master of Arts in Management, MAM 2008 --Whitehead Leadership Society, Production
