APPLICATION: BACHELOR OF ARTS (HONOURS) A400
To be completed by applicants in the disciplines of:
Anthropology, Australian Studies, Criminology, History, International Relations, Political
Studies and Middle Eastern Studies, Language, Philosophy, Sociology.
The application process
Deakin University offers Honours programs in the on-campus and Cloud modes, at the Geelong
campus at Waurn Ponds and the Melbourne campus at Burwood. However not all disciplines are
offered in the Cloud mode nor at both campuses so it is important to check with the Faculty’s
Honours Enrolment Advisor before submitting your application.
Applications for the Honours programs are made directly to Deakin University.
Applications for Trimester 1 open in August and normally close at the end of February
Applications for Trimester 2 open in April and normally close in mid June.

Explore the Honours site for your chosen discipline and if you are ready to apply, then follow these
steps:
1.
If you are already a Deakin student then speak to either a lecturer in your area of interest, or
the discipline honours convenor, in your major, about doing honours.
2.
If you are not a Deakin student then please contact the Discipline Honours Convenor in your
major, to discuss honours.

Complete the following application and submit it through the student portal:

- Non Deakin students must also provide a certified copy of their academic transcript.
- Deakin student’s academic transcripts are automatically added to the application.
