The application process
Deakin University offers Honours programs in the on campus and Cloud modes and, at the Melbourne campus
at Burwood and the Geelong campus at Waterfront. (Note: All seven Creative Arts Disciplines are offered at
Burwood campus. Photography and Creative Arts are offered at Geelong campus at Waterfront).
Applications for the Honours programs are made directly to Deakin University.
Applications for Trimester 1 open in August and normally close at the end of February

Applicants for the BCA (Honours) program in the School of Communication and Creative Arts must submit an
expression of interest. You will not work with your supervisor until you commence the research units.
However, the School needs to ensure that a supervisor with appropriate expertise is available when you begin
your research project. If you do not know a staff member with expertise in your area of research interest, the
Course Director will assist you to find one.
If there is a staff member you would like to nominate as a supervisor, please include his or her name below.
Appointment of a supervisor is subject to staff availability.
* Note: You need to discuss supervision arrangements with a member of staff or the discipline coordinator
prior to completing your application and include the name of your proposed supervisor on this form.
