Halloween Break – The school will be closed on Thursday & Friday 30th/31st October.
Tuesday 28th Oct 2014 - Walk to school breakfast.

Our next note will be sent home next Wednesday before the Halloween break.
Bus Envelopes
NB The small white envelopes which we provide on a weekly basis are for bus money only. While there
may be tick boxes (in old envelopes) for other money we do not want you to send any other money in these
envelopes other than bus money as it creates a lot more work for us.
Cross-Country
Congratulations to the boys and girls’ teams which both came first in the first round of the Primary Schools’
League held at Thornhill College last Friday. Well done also to all the children who took part in the fun run.
We depend on those children to keep team members on their toes. Detailed results can be viewed at

Bike Surgery for P7 and P6 children. Due to the bad weather we only managed to have twenty bikes
doctored. The bike surgeon will return for a second day in the near future to service the rest of the bikes.
We will keep you informed.
Parents of P1 Children
Please sign and return, as soon as possible, any folders given to you at the parent/teacher meetings.
Walk to School Breakfast – Tuesday 28th Oct 2014
Parents should accompany the children on the walk or arrange for another adult to do so. Children are
encouraged to wear a mask or hat. Teachers and classroom assistants will be in school preparing breakfast.
P1/2/3/4 should go directly to their classrooms for their breakfast as space in the assembly hall is limited.
P5/6/7 children should go to the assembly hall and collect their toast on the way to the classroom. Toast and
juice will be served in the classrooms. Sorry no tea/coffee.

Election of Parent Governor
Nomination forms are now available from the office for the election of the parent governor. Forms should
be returned to the school office by Tuesday 4th November at the latest.
