Milltown students had a fabulous time at the Charlie Brown Olympics and the 5th-6th grade dance last Friday. We
owe a ton of thanks to a few parents that planned and decorated and worked hard for these events to happen. They
are Karen Pearson, Misty Goldman, Sherry Fow. Also, thanks to Lora Nickelson and Sandy Walker.
If there are any other parents that would like to make sure these and other events for students occur, call the school
and leave a message that you would like to be a part of next year’s PTO. Students may not be able to have these
events if there aren’t parents to support them.

C.A.R.E.S. Summer Registration
C.A.R.E.S. summer registration forms are coming home today in the blue folders.
If your child plans on attending summer C.A.R.E.S., please complete this form
and send it back in as soon as possible.

Help Support C.A.R.E.S. Demolition Derby
CARES Demolition Derby is scheduled for Sunday, May 22nd at 2:00pm. Gates will open at
12:00pm. Admission for adults is $8. Kids 12 and under admission is $5. Pit passes are $10.

Thursday, May 26th is 6th Grade Graduation
Thursday, May 26th at 6:30pm Milltown Elementary will host their 6th grade
graduation. Congratulations to all the 6th graders moving in to Junior High. The Staff
here at Milltown Elementary will miss you greatly.

Medication Pick Up
Any medications or medical supplies that are currently at school will need to be picked up on or
before June 1st. These medications or medical supplies cannot be sent home on the school bus.
Any items left after June 1st will be discarded. New medication consent forms must be completed
each school year.

Immunization Law for Students entering the 6th grade
All students entering the 6th grade for the 2011-2012 school year are required by Indiana State Law to have the
following immunizations:
1 dose tetanus-diptheria-acellular pertussis vaccine (Tdap) given after 10 years of age
1 dose of meningococcal vaccine (MCV4)
2 doses of varicella (chickenpox) vaccine after the first birthday.
