Ports America Group – January 14, 2008 – March 25, 2009, Vice President Operations MidAtlantic, Baltimore, MD. Continued the process improvement Marine Terminal Corporation East
established with Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics under the new Ports America corporate management
enterprise structure.
Marine Terminal Corporation East (MTCE) – June 1, 2007 – January 13, 2008, Vice President
Operations Mid-Atlantic, Baltimore, MD. Accountable for all stevedoring operations in support of
Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics (WWL) vessel calls (300 +) at Baltimore with full profit and loss
responsibility. Insured WWL was provided the highest levels of customer service, efficiencies,
productivity and safety standards while achieving operational and financial goals & objectives.
Marine Terminal Corporation (MTC) – March 2005 - May 2007, Vice President Operations, West
Coast General Stevedoring Division (GSLOB) (13 sites - autos, bulk, break bulk, containers and
military).Had responsibility for all divisional stevedoring and terminal operations with full profit and
loss responsibility. Insure high levels of customer service, efficiencies, productivity and safety
standards while achieving operational and financial goals and objectives.

With the entire line of business team improved net income 2,406%, 2004 to 2006
Led the development of a reporting system to meet general stevedoring requirements
Initiated the Accelerated Management training program for general stevedoring
Negotiated a 25% increase in terminal revenue at one of the GSLOB container sites
Instituted a Safety Commitment Program within the GSLOB including “member enrollment”
Tropical Shipping – June 2001 - February 2005, Riviera Beach Terminal Operations Manager, Was
responsible for overseeing all terminal activities - stevedoring, jockey pool and rail operations.
Coordinated and executed transportation activities based on scheduling requirements (for 15 sailings per
week), financial requirements, port capacity and vessel capabilities. Established departmental policies
and procedures for conducting operations within legal requirements and company philosophy. Oversaw
operational protocols for new Gottwald Mobile Harbor Cranes.

Transcom Terminals, Ltd. – February 2002 – May 2001, General Manager – had overall
responsibility for all vessel and support activities related to stevedoring, terminal operations and
logistics. Duties included, but were not limited to personnel/payroll, billing, contracts/quotations,
maintenance, safety, and customer service.
PRC Restoration and Carpet Connection - two companies in the fire/wind/water damage restoration
and associated carpet and upholstery cleaning business. Combined sales in 1999 estimated at $1 million.
Operations Manager (1995–96) then Manager/Partner (1996–2000) principally involved in
administration, planning and estimating.
Ceres Marine Terminals – 1990-1995, a major East Coast, Gulf Coast and Great Lakes provider of vessel
and terminal stevedoring operations, privately owned with estimated revenues of $50 million in Baltimore.
1993-1995, Manager of Roll On/Roll Off and Break Bulk Vessel/Terminal Services - Baltimore, MD,
responsible for establishing and maintaining an efficient receipt/delivery function and the satisfaction of
customers (trucking companies, freight forwarders and customs brokers).
1992–93, Terminal Manager - Baltimore, MD, responsible for contract negotiations, budgets, labor
relations, contract administration, cost/revenue forecasting and overall terminal performance. Ten direct
and 900 indirect reports (ILA members).
1991-1992, Manager of Safety and Claims – Baltimore, MD, responsible for cargo claim resolution.
1990-91, General Superintendent – Baltimore, MD
Clark Maryland Terminals, Baltimore, MD, a division of the Furness Whithey Group, worldwide
operator of marine terminals owned by the C.H. Tung Group, Hong Kong.
1988-90, General Manager responsible for the overall operational performance of all vessels and
related terminal activities. A significant accomplishment was:
 Reorganized the staff, hired two new supervisors, brought in fresh ideas and refocused existing
employees leading to increased efficiencies and performance.
The Military Traffic Management Command, Baltimore, MD, a department of the Army Command
providing terminal support of the ocean movement of military goods and materials.
1985-88, Transportation Specialist, responsible for insuring proper training and state of readiness
related to cargo/logistics operations and provided professional guidance/counsel to the unit commander.
Key achievements included:
 Successfully administered contract surveillance procedures to insure contractor compliance.
1974-85, positions in the maritime industry, including independent Marine Surveyor, steamship agency
Port Captain, Stevedore and Merchant Marine Deck Officer.
