2016-2017 Junior League of Greensboro Education Impact Request for
Proposals
Education Focused Community Impact
The Junior League of Greensboro (JLG) began a more focused approach for community impact in June 2013 by
partnering with Cone Elementary, a title I elementary school located in northeast Greensboro, a school within
the Guilford County School System. Cone Elementary needed a strong community partner to help with
educational progression. After partnering with Cone Elementary for three school years, The Junior League of
Greensboro will continue their efforts at Cone but will also be expanding their focus on education in
general beginning with the 2016-2017 term. Proposals are currently being accepted for community programs
that focus on early childhood or elementary education within Guilford County. All community programs
selected must focus on education with a specific emphasis on children from birth through elementary school
age.
Your proposal should clearly indicate how your organization, along with our volunteers, will serve the Guilford
County community through a focus on early childhood or elementary education. If you have questions, you
may call Brittany Midyette, JLG External Planning Chair at (828) 381-7714 or e-mail her at
JLGProjects@gmail.com.
