Principal’s Message
Welcome back to 2013. I hope all families had a
well-earned rest over the holiday period.
I welcome Mrs Crichton & Mrs Brain to our teaching
staff this year. I also welcome back Mrs Taylor &
Denis Mansfield who both help to keep the school
running smoothly.
Miss Sheehan has accepted a position at Goodooga
Public School and we wish her well in her teaching
career.
Teaching staff will be meeting this Thursday to
discuss programming & planning for 2013. A note
regarding classroom requirements & a date for a
Parent/Teacher meeting will also be decided on this
day.
I will be teaching the K-2 students while Mrs
Crichton & Mrs Brain will job share the 3-6 position.
Anaphylaxis training has been completed by all staff
& parents need to notify the school if their child has
any allergies. An updated medical note will be sent
home for parents to fill in and return.
We welcome the Murphy family into our school
community and are sad to see the Evans family
leave us. However, we wish them well in their new
ventures.
We are all looking forward to a great year.

P & C News
Bribbaree P & C Annual General Meeting:
Yes it is that time again, our Annual General Meeting will
be held on Tuesday 12th February at 7:00pm in the new
school library.
All office bearer positions will be declared vacant.
The officer positions to be elected arePresident
Two Vice Presidents
Secretary
Only financial P & C members are eligible to stand for a
position or vote.
Membership for the year is $5-00 per person and is
payable on the night of the AGM.
No more than one officer position can be held by the
same person.
Two people from the same family can hold office bearer
positions at the same time.
Following the AGM a general meeting will be held, and
we are asking for any new business arising, to let Allison
Hunter know on 63832351.

Bribbaree Public School Cookbooks
Just a reminder that the Bribbaree
Public School cookbooks are for sale
for $20-00each. These make great
gifts and have fabulous recipes in them. If you
buy 3 or more they are $17-00each.

YSS Swimming Carnival
On Wednesday 13th February 2013, The Young
Small Schools Swimming Carnival will be held at
The Young Aquatic Centre. The day is to commence
at 9am, and we would like all students to be present
at 8-50am to have their name marked off the roll.
This is a compulsory school day. Please find
attached permission note to be returned to the office
as soon as possible.
Canteen News
Canteen will be in operation from Wednesday February 20th.
Menu forms along with volunteer forms will be sent home by the
end of next week.
Uniforms
If anyone is wanting to order a winter pinafore please make

Student Leadership Day
We are pleased to advise that Bribbaree Public School
students in 4,5 and 6 will attend the Grip Leadership Day
in Sydney on Monday 13th May 2013. If parents of these
children wish to attend please contact Mrs Mansfield as
soon as possible.

Bribbaree Public School Playgroup
Bribbaree Public School will be holding their first
playgroup session on Tuesday February 12th 2013
commencing at 10am and ending at 12midday.
All are welcome to attend.
Book Club
Book Club order forms are enclosed with
today’s newsletter. They are to be
returned with payment to the office no
later than Monday 18th February 2013.
I have had a number of parents asking if I
could email the newsletter to them.
If you prefer the fortnightly newsletter to be
emailed please provide me with your
current email address in writing.
All permission notes however will be sent
home via the children in print form.

Parent –Teacher Meeting
A parent-teacher meeting is to be
scheduled in the very near future. This
will take place after February 7th, once
planning is completed. All parents will be
notified of this meeting once a date has
been set.

Music program
Our music program this term will be
conducted by Mrs Margaret
Edwards from The Young
Regional School Of Music.
Each Wednesday Mrs
Edwards will
take the K-2 class for
Percussion Lessons and 3-6 will be involved in
choir lessons.
