III. Justification for Change
Middle grades education majors have two content area concentrations. All middle grades education
majors are required to take EDRD 3330. This course provides content area teachers with strategies for
effective reading and writing instruction that enhances their ability to educate an increasingly diverse
student population. The proposed change is to add the term content area to the title of the course for
better understanding.
