St Paul’s C of E Primary School Cleaning Specification Area 2. JUNIOR CLASSROOMS (EXCLUDING CLASS 3), ALL CORRIDORS TO JUNIORS AND ADMIN AREAS, JUNIORS TOILETS, STAFF TOILET, DISABLED TOILET,HEAD TEACHERS OFFICE, MAIN RECEPTION OFFICE, MEDICAL ROOM, STAFF ROOM, SITE MANAGER’S OFFICE, RECEPTION LOBBY. LIFT/LOBBY. 2 hours cleaning duties to be commenced no earlier than 3.30pm. DAILY: ALL AREAS EXCEPT TOILETS AND STAFF ROOM ● Empty all waste bins into black plastic refuse bags and remove to large roller bins near school entrance. ● Ensure Heads recycling bin in Heads office is emptied into recycling container. ● Replace bin liners with appropriate sized liner as required. ● (Rota basis) Dust/Damp wipe all table tops, teachers desk, shelves, ledges, picture frames, skirting boards etc to all classrooms, Heads office, main office, corridors, reception lobby, Staff room, Site Managers office, (on a rota basis) to ensure all surfaces are cleaned once a week. ● Clean sinks and drainers to all classrooms. ●Thoroughly vacuum clean all carpeted and hard floor areas. ● Damp mop hard floor area to Reception lobby and corridor entrance. ● Damp mop vinyl floor areas to class rooms as necessary. (All to be completely mopped once weekly) ● Thoroughly clean both sides to all internal class vision panels and port holes. ● Remove finger marks from inside of all external glass doors. ● Remove finger marks from BOTH sides main entrance doors to reception. STAFF ROOM ● Empty waste bin into plastic refuse sack and replace bin liner. ●Thoroughly damp wipe large table top, occasional tables and window sills. ●Thoroughly clean sink, work tops and splash back with disinfectant cleaner. ● Remove marks from fridge door. ●Brush or vacuum crumbs etc from upholstered chairs. ● Vacuum clean carpeted floor area. ●Damp mop vinyl floor area. DAILY CONT ….. DAILY Cont : TOILETS ● Empty any bins into black plastic refuse sacks and replace bin liner where necessary. ● Thoroughly clean with appropriate disinfectant cleaner all sinks, tiled splash backs, sills and ledges. (USING RED CLOTH) . ●Thoroughly clean with appropriate disinfectant cleaner toilets bowls, both sides of toilet seats, urinals, tiled and hard surface splash backs. (USING YELLOW CLOTH) ● Remove any marks from cubical partitions and all doors. ●Thoroughly mop floor with disinfectant cleaner. ● Polish mirrors. WEEKLY: ALL AREAS EXCEPT TOILETS AND STAFF ROOM ● Damp wipe surface of Active boards to classrooms and library. ● Remove marks from wall surfaces and doors. ● Damp wipe chairs to classrooms to remove paint marks etc as necessary. ● Dust/polish computer screens to all office accommodation. ● Clean/polish telephones to all office accommodation. TOILETS ● Thoroughly brush toilet bowls and urinals with descaler/cleaner solution. HOLIDAY CLEANING. ALL AREAS EXCLUDING TOILETS ●Carry out high level dusting to areas reachable with a long flick duster. ● Deep clean all of areas covered in daily/weekly specification with particular attention to thorough cleaning and removal of stubborn marks/glue from tables / chairs etc, doors including kick plates, and wall washing. ● Vacuum clean all areas where furniture has been moved from its normal position to allow access. TOILETS ● Deep clean all areas covered in daily/weekly specification to include all hard surfaces; cubical partitions, doors, splash backs, floors etc. ● Descale all toilet bowls and sinks/ tap surrounds etc with appropriate solution. ●Dry polish all tiles. ______________________________________________________________ ONLY USE METHODS OF WORK ACCORDING TO HEALTH AND SADFETY GUIDELINES GIVEN AS PART OF YOUR TRAINING.
