LEARNING OBJECTIVES
This workshop is aimed for dermatologists who elect to have an additional
training in the arts and science of skin and cosmetic laser surgery. Following
this course, the attendee will be able to:
1. Determine the clinical use of lasers, especially those that are
predominantly used in the world of cutaneous and cosmetic laser
surgery.
2. Follow important safety measures when operating lasers and light
sources in order to reduce the risk of injury to the patient or
operating room staff.
3. Apply lasers and light therapy for medical and cosmetic
enhancement.
PROGRAM
This is a two-day workshop. The training program is composed of 2
parts
1. Lectures covering basic and advanced knowledge in laser and noncoherent, pulsed light therapy in Dermatology. Topics include:
- Pre and post operative management
- Laser safety
- Laser surgery
- CO2 laser vaporization
- Laser resurfacing
- Pigment-specific lasers
- Vascular-specific lasers
- Laser & Light-based hair removal
- Intense pulsed light (IPL) treatment
- Radiofrequency device
- Electro-optical synergy (ELOS) technology
2. Practice
- Live demonstration
- Practicing on pig and simulated skin
- Hands-on operation under supervision
This workshop will be organized for at least 30 attendees.
FACILITIES
The workshop utilizes the facilities of Siriraj Skin Laser Center (SLC),
Department of Dermatology, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, a fully
functional Skin Laser Center. The center consists of 4 operating rooms (3
laser operative rooms, 1 minor operative room), and 2 examination rooms.

PREREQUISITE
At least ten-month training in general dermatology from accredited institutions
CREDENTIALS
Upon completion of the course, the trainees will be eligible for a certificate of
“Siriraj Skin Laser Surgery Workshop” from Siriraj Skin Laser Center,
Department of Dermatology, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol
University.

Application Requirements
Completed application includes a recent passport-size photograph and
letter of training in general dermatology for at least 10 months.
Registration
Application form can be downloaded from www.sirirajlaser.com or an email request.
Due to limitation of the training position, the applicants are encouraged
to process a registration at least 3 months in advance.

ACCOMMODATION AND TRANSPORTATION
This is not included in the registration fee. There are various
