10th graduation of the Leadership School of the Commissioner’s resource
center on child rights
The following event within the framework of Child Rights Month-Long Campaign
proclaimed by the Commissioner was organized in the Leadership School of the
Child and Youth Peace Network. The event was dedicated to 10th graduation year
of Leadership School.
Staff member of State Committee on Family, Woman and Children Affairs
Nurlana Mammadova, representative of UNICEF Baku office Natig Mammadov,
member of National Sciences Academy, professor Vagif Abbasov, staff member of
Department of Education in Baku, representatives of Resource Center for older
persons, graduates of Leadership School, schoolchildren, parents and
representatives of mass media took part in the meeting.
It was given information about many-brached activity of the Commissioner in the
field of children rights. It was noted the main purpose of the Leadership School is
to enrich children’s outlook, make them to develop harmoniously and teach them
children rights in accordance with Convention on the Rights of Children.
Representative of UNICEF Baku office Natig Mammadov and member of National
Sciences Academy professor Vagif Abbasov highly appreciated the work being
carried out by the school.
The member of the school informed about the activity of the Leadership School, ,
trainings, seminars organized and international conferences attended by the
members of the School.
At the end of the meeting the Commissioner presented certificates to 82 children
and congratulated them.
