Dear Parents of 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th Grade Girls, In an attempt to strengthen our volleyball program while enabling your daughter to improve her athletic skills, we are offering a spring volleyball program for 4th-8th grade girls. Under the direction of our high school athletes, this program will give each athlete an opportunity to perfect, strengthen, and fine tune her volleyball skills in serving, setting, passing and hitting. Spring volleyball will run for two weeks, April 30-May 3 and May 6-May 9 from 3:30 – 5:15 p.m. in the gym. Please be prompt in picking up your daughter at 5:15 p.m. We are very prompt in dismissal, as we know your family time is a priority. The cost is $65 per student. Our goal is that each girl will strengthen her skills, have a great time getting to know our Christian high school players, and draw closer to the athletes of her class. Hard competition is not our focal point. Each day we’ll have competition between the teams, but the focus will be to learn and grow together, while strengthening skills and increasing game knowledge. We will set the format of the program with skills we want the girls to practice, along with the drills that lead into game play and game situations; however, we will not be doing the teaching. We will be there each day to supervise and help if needed. But our goal is for your daughter to develop a personal and Christian relationship with our high school athletes. The high school girls will be doing all the teaching and coaching. They are excited and fired up to do this for the Lord, our school and our athletic program, and especially for your daughter. These girls will bless your daughter’s life and develop her confidence, self-esteem and athleticism. If your daughter wants to participate, please fill out the form below and bring it in to the High School office to Mrs. Lohr during normal office hours. The deadline for signups is Friday, April 26. We order T-shirts for all participants, so we need a definite count before the camp begins. If you have any questions, please call Mrs. Lohr at 612-0673. One final note: If it is raining or snowing, the high school spring sports (soccer, baseball, track) need to use the gym and do have priority. Therefore, you can assume that the day of volleyball will be cancelled. You are welcome to come and watch your daughter at any time. We hope to see your daughter there!
