In accordance with the Toronto District School Board’s Optional Attendance Policy,
________________Public School accepts children who reside outside the attendance area for
this school, as long as they attend ________________ Child Care Centre. However, please be
advised that if your child is withdrawn from ______________ Child Care Centre, he or she will
be required to return to the school designated by your home address. If space is available, you
may apply to have your child remain at _________________ Public School through the Optional
Attendance process.
Further, please be advised that placement in Toronto District School Board Immersion and Extended French Programs is guaranteed based on home address only. Parents who want their
child to attend the same French program as in-district children may apply under the Optional Attendance process, but there is no guarantee of placement.
Please sign in the designated area below to indicate that you have received this letter and understand the implications in the event that your child is later withdrawn from

the basis of home address only, and that while application may be made under Optional Attendance to attend the same French program as in-district students, there is no guarantee of placement through this process.
