Dear Parents and/or Guardians,
We are delighted that you want your child to participate in the 2014 Little Mr. and Miss Cherry Blossom
Pageant. We are looking forward to a great event and hope it will prove to be a positive and memorable
experience for you and your son or daughter. Please read this letter carefully and in its entirety, and
hopefully most of your questions will be answered within. If you need further assistance please contact
Jan Thiese at (478) 207-0021 or janicemariemaconga@cox.net
The pageant will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at a location to be determined in
Macon.
Contestants must be boys and girls ages 4 (must have turned 4 by pageant date) to 6 years of age. There is
only one age category.
All participants must attend a 6:00 p.m. rehearsal at a location to be determined in Macon on Friday,

rehearsal. If at all possible, please do not bring children who are not participating in the pageant to the
rehearsal.
During the pageant, contestants will walk across the stage and “model” for the judges and the audience.
The Emcee will have a brief chat with each contestant based on the information you provided on your
child’s application. There is no talent competition. Please do not coach or drill your child on his/her
answers, as we do not compare the bio sheet with your child’s answers the day of the pageant. As we all
know, children change their minds daily!
Contestants should arrive dressed and ready for the pageant between 10:00 and 10:30 a.m. Please do not
arrive before 10:00 a.m. We will have plenty of staff available to assist you, and there will be activities
and plenty of supervision in the staging area while the children are waiting to go on stage. All parents
should depart the staging area no later than 10:45 a.m. Parents must agree to accept the judges’
decision and understand that the ballots are confidential and cannot be viewed by contestants or
their family members. Parents and family members are asked to refrain from conversing with
judges.
ATTIRE: Girls are to wear a Sunday-type dress with the hem being no more than 4 inches below the
knee. Please no long, formal dresses. If at all possible, we would like the dresses to be any shade of pink
or white with pink accents. Makeup, if any, should be limited to blush and lip gloss. Hair should look
natural. Boys may wear navy, khaki, or black pants with a white or pink shirt (shirt should have a collar).
