We are halfway through the school year and, believe it or not, it is time to start thinking about the
transition to high school. We have been busy planning a variety of activities to help make the
transition as smooth as possible. Please pay careful attention to all communication regarding
transition activities. Continue to check the website for the high school your student will be attending
for upcoming events and information.
Some of the scheduled events are for students, some are for parents, and some are for both. It is
imperative that your student is present for all transition activities. Parents should make
every effort to attend as many events as possible. There is a lot of information to consider and
some of the choices you make in the next few months will impact the next four years.
Parents: Please make certain you have your access code to Parent Portal before attempting to
register your student for 9th grade classes. You may obtain your Parent Portal code by contacting
Mrs. Mueller in the front office at kmueller@forsyth.k12.ga.us 678-965-5080 ext.0.
