15th December 2015
Dear Parents,
Thank you for the support that you continue to give to our work. We are delighted by the
many achievements of our students from Year 7 to 11 and the developing pride they have in
their own and in others’ successes. We know that this pride is encouraged by the interest that
you, as parents, take in our work. I am grateful to so many of you who have attended recent
meetings to look at ways in which we can develop and improve our students’ experience
and a leaflet updating you on our actions to date is enclosed.
Emergency Closures
We have been very lucky with the weather so far. Long may this last! Please remember that,
should school be forced to close due to heavy snow, parents can be kept up to date about
school closures via our website, Facebook/ Twitter pages and via the text messaging service
we provide to mobile telephones. The texting service is ESCC approved and totally secure.
If you haven’t already done so this term, please specify on the reply slip provided whether you
permit your child to leave college on his/ her own in the event of such a closure.
