Dear Parents
It is likely you received a letter from me earlier this week regarding the arrangements for Year 11 pupils
commencing study leave. We have been contacted by some parents who were concerned that their children
had very few exams in the second half of next week. In light of this we have reviewed the usefulness of the
lessons that are planned for the second half of this week.
We have decided to make Wednesday 30th May the final day that all Year 11 pupils must be in school.
The timetable for Wednesday 30th May will be that all pupils undertake Mathematics Lessons during lessons 1
and 2. During lessons 3 and 4 they will have their final assembly followed by the buffet lunch described in the
previous letter.
On Thursday 31st May and Friday 1st June we will undertake a revised timetable to cover those subjects whose
exams have not yet taken place. Pupils will only need to attend the lessons of these subjects listed below.

Lesson 1
Systems and Control or Resistant Materials
Lesson 2
German
Lesson 3
Triple Science - Biology
Lesson 4
History
Lesson 5
Geography or History
Friday 1st June
Lesson 1
Mathematics – Additional Maths (Mrs Jones’ Group) and Dual Entry Maths (Mrs Marriott’s
Group)
Lesson 2 & 3 Triple Science – Chemistry followed by Physics
Pupils need only attend school for these specific lessons. Pupils who wish to remain in school or to come into
school to revise will be provided with a study room in which to do so. Once pupils have completed the lesson
for a particular subject they are free to return home. Please note pupils should wear school uniform when in
school.
I apologise for any confusion caused by this second letter, but having considered the situation we recognise
that next week may have reduced meaning for those pupils who have a only a few exams remaining. If you
