Bertha wins again.
One of the favourites shows of the show circuit the Great Yorkshire show, surpass all expectations,
with increase cattle entries in the Galloway section and excellent hot weather, sometimes too hot, the
Galloways were well supported both in the ring and the crowd attending who watched the Ross
Familly secure the overall championship. Straight from her win at the Royal show Berth 214 of
Romesbeoch, took the red, white and blue ticket. Lifting the reserve female and reserve overall ticket
went the way of Alan McMillan for the family firm of M/s Wallace, Over Barskeoch, Dalry, Castle
Dogulas with the 2 ½ year old heifer Beatrice M of Over Barskeoch, sired by Penninghame Judge.
She is in calf to Greenloop Limited Ediotion.
In the male section it was Jean Cruikshank who took the leading tickets with Lookout of
Romesbeoch, this Diamond B Deadline son was 2nd at the Royal.
In the Interbreed Junior Beef Group competition the Galloway Team was place a very respectable 4th
behind the Limousin, Charolais and Blonde teams
