Year 3 and 4 Newsletter (week beginning 29th September) Dear Parents / Guardians, This week: In Maths: Miss Llewellyn’s group will be learning about digital time; Mrs Hughes’ & Mrs Tamplin’s groups will be learning to carry out addition and record our work correctly in books. In Literacy: Miss Llewellyn’s group will be writing a description of a character, and exploring consequences. Mrs Hughes & Mrs Tamplin’s groups will be finishing their diary entries and will complete a reading comprehension. In Topic: As we are celebrating Harvest next week, we will be practising a range of Harvest songs, writing Harvest prayers and poems, making collages and mosaics of fruits and vegetables and getting ready for our Harvest Festival in the church. Homework We have been looking at the book ‘Window’ and have discovered it is based in Australia. Please could you help your child to find out some facts about Australia. They can display their information any way they wish – a poster, a factsheet, etc. Please can this be returned to school by Friday 3rd October.
