Dear Parents/Guardians:
We are pleased to enclose your child’s roster and schedule for the 2013-2014 school
year. Students are to report to their new homerooms on the first day of school, Wed.,
Aug. 28th. The school day will begin at 7:40 a.m. and end at 2:18 p.m.
Roster change requests may be made online via the Roster Request Form. To access
this information, please visit www.mastccs.org, click on “Academics”, scroll over to ‘Pupil
Services/Guidance”, scroll over to “Counseling Services”, and click on “High School Guidance”,
under forms label click “Roster Change Request Form”. Please remember that roster changes
will not be made for lunch changes or teacher preference. If your child has attended summer
school, proof of course completion must be submitted to your child’s Guidance Counselor.
Back to School Night for grades 9 through 12 will be held on Tues., Sept.10th at 6:00
p.m.
Breakfast will not be served on the first day of school, Wed., Aug. 28th.
However, lunch can be obtained on the first day of school by depositing money into your
child’s existing MealPay Plus account or by pre-paying via check made payable to MaST
Community Charter School. Any balance that you had in your MealPay Plus account at the end
of June will roll over into your account for the new school year. Meals will be provided
through the Free and Reduced Price Meals Program for students who previously qualified.
Breakfast will be served beginning on Thurs., August 29th. Your child’s 7 digit PIN number
used in the lunchroom will be provided to him/her on the first day of school. We want to
remind you that MaST will not accept cash for the purchase of breakfast or lunch.
Information on MealPay Plus and new Applications for the Free and Reduced Price School
Meals program will be sent home within the next few weeks.
All students who are scheduled for physical education are expected to have gym
uniforms with them on their first scheduled gym day.
SEPTA has informed us that Tripper Buses will be available to the students on Wed.,
Aug.28th. A copy of the SEPTA Tripper Bus information is included on the reverse
side of this letter.
Free SEPTA TransPasses will be available on Wed., Aug. 28tt to students in grades 9
through 12 who meet the established criteria.
There will be no student parking on the school premises for the entire
2013/14 school year. However, there will be parking available at the Fellowship
Church on Worthington Road. This is for select students and permits are limited to
space on our vans. The MaST school vans will pick up our students in the parking
lot of the church and transport them directly to school. Our vans will leave the
parking lot at precisely 7:20 a.m.
MaST prides itself in a strong educational philosophy and looks forward to a new school
year with new initiatives and positive growth in many of the areas of the school. The

SEPTA TRIPPER BUS INFORMATION
Route 14
The Route 14 trippers will leave the Frankford terminal at 6:50 A.M. and 6:52 A.M. each
school morning. The Tripper will make all regular Route 14 bus stops between
Frankford terminal and Comly Rd. and Roosevelt Blvd. After the stop at Comly Rd. and
Roosevelt Blvd., the bus will proceed directly to the school. The tripper may or may not
have a MaST sign in the window; therefore, you must ask the driver if the bus is a
tripper for our school. You must be at your stop in plenty of time, as SEPTA trippers do
not wait like yellow school buses.
Route 20
The Route 20 trippers will leave the Frankford terminal at 6:51 A.M. and 6:54 A.M. each
school morning. The Tripper will make all regular Route 20 bus stops between
Frankford terminal and Comly Rd. and Academy Rd. After the stop at Comly Rd. and
Academy Rd., the bus will make a left onto Comly Rd. and proceed directly to the
school. The tripper may or may not have a MaST sign in the window; therefore, you
must ask the driver if the bus is a tripper for our school. You must be at your stop in
plenty of time, as SEPTA trippers do not wait like yellow school buses.
Note: If you live north of Academy and Comly Rd. you will need to take the Route 20
bus south and pick up the tripper at Academy and Comly Rd.
Route 67
The Route 67 tripper will leave the Franklin Mills terminal at 6:55 A.M. each school
morning. The Tripper will follow the regular 67 route to Comly Road and Roosevelt
Boulevard making all stops. The tripper may or may not have a MaST sign in the
window; therefore, you must ask the driver if the bus is a tripper for our school. You
must be at your stop in plenty of time, as SEPTA trippers do not wait like yellow school
buses.
