Goodbye!
Visit to Holly Lodge by Olympic athlete
Sadly we say goodbye to several staff
members at the end of this year:
Earlier in May, Olympic Heptathlon hopeful
Katarina Johnson- Thompson visited Holly
Lodge through the Wells Sports Foundation’s
‘Athletes 4 Schools’ scheme. Katarina worked
with two groups of Y7s. She gave them a taste
of her gruelling workout and the students
were able to ask questions. This was a
fantastic opportunity for the students and we
wish Katarina well for the Olympics.

English. All other necessary posts have been
filled.

Clothes collection
Congratulations
The next clothes collection is 14th June. If you
have any clothes, towels, bed linen you are
getting rid of, please send it in to school to
Miss Lancaster. All donations gratefully
received and funds spent on extras for the
students.
Huge congratulations to Emily Kenwright Y11,
who has secured a 3 year scholarship to ‘The
Bird Dance College’ (singing, acting, dancing)
worth £45,000! Well done Emily!
Lister Drive Infants Mosaic
Key stage 3 clubs
Over the past few days staff from the Art
department have been working with Keystage
1 pupils from Lister Drive to create a giant
outside mosaic for their school in the form of
crowns and jewels in honour of the Jubilee.
KS3 Journalism Club meets every Wednesday
