JIANZI CHALLENGE
Jianzi challenge will take place on Wednesday 30th September. Shuttle cocks are available
now and will be on sale each day from 1.20pm in the glass corridor (next to the main
entrance doors). The cost is £3 each and you are encouraged to purchase early as there
are limited supplies.

FIFE ROAD RELAYS
There will be a run for 1st, 2nd, 3rd years on Wednesday 23rd September for the Fife Road
Relays. Meet at Astro Turf for 3.40pm. Everyone must attend if you wish to take part. See

FUSION DANCE GROUP
A small number of places have been taken up by 3rd years on Wednesdays from 3.40pm
until 5.00pm. This group will now comprise of 3rd and 4th year pupils. Any 3rd year who

FUSION DANCE GROUP
Any 4th year who attended Fusion during their 3rd year but has not attended for the last 4
weeks should see Mrs Lewis BEFORE returning to the class. This is very important as there
is a limit on the number of pupils in the dance Studio.

EDUCATIONAL MAINTENANCE ALLOWANCE (EMA)
For the attention of pupils who are eligible to apply for an Educational Maintenance
Allowance. EMA applications will only be backdated to 17 August 2009 if the EMA unit in
Glenrothes receives the application by Wednesday 30 September 2009. If pupils submit
their application to the EMA unit after that date their EMA start date will be the date the
application is received.

SENIOR FOOTBALL
Queen Anne laboured to a 1-1 draw against Lochgelly on Wednesday night. Missing 5 key
players through injury the team gave 100% but lacked match sharpness. The goal was
scored by captain Shaun Philp with a towering header. Training continues next Tuesday
after school on the grass. This special session will be led by a top DAFC coach to get us
firing on all cylinders ahead of the Scottish Cup tie on the 29th!

RETURN OF HIGHER/INTERMEDIATE ART & DESIGN/ PHOTOGRAPHY WORK
Any pupil who sat Higher or Intermediate 2 Art & Design, or Higher Photography last year,
and would like their work returned, must see Mr. Simpson in Art Room 2 BEFORE

Pupils who attended the Art Department Trip in June/July 2009 were required to submit a
painted canvas based upon their experience. These canvases are to be displayed in the Art
Department corridor (downstairs) at lunchtime on Tuesday 22nd September, starting at
1.20pm. Prizes will be awarded and refreshments available.
