Computer Coding Online Course - A reminder to the students
who signed up for the computer coding online course. The
informational meeting will be at lunch on Tuesday, December
2nd in room 202.
ALL STUDENTS ATTENDING THE WINTER FORMAL must
come with your student ID card or other form of photo ID. It
will be required in order for you to enter the event!
Grade 9 Leadership has a busy Tuesday Dec 2nd. The students
are working at Toys for Tots and Teens at the Lakeside that
morning serving breakfasts and packing up toys!
FREE BAKING? YES!!! To the first 30 people who come with
an environmental fact to GEM’s GREEN WEEK bake sale,
Thursday, Nov. 27th at lunch in the common area. Get your
facts from the TV bulletins or listen closely to the PA
announcements this week and next. Proceeds for cash payments
go to the Pen High Greenhouse fund.
Sr. Leadership will be have a Rafiki fundraiser between the
27th of November and the 5th of December. Rafikis are
bracelets made by mamas in 3rd world countries. Each colourful
strand makes a life-changing impact in a Free the Children
community overseas to help a child or family break the cycle of
poverty: school supplies, access to clean water, a baby chick,
healthy meals, financial tools and health care. We will have a
booth out in the multipurpose room where you can learn more
information about the Rafikis and you can pick up order forms in
the office.

ARE YOU INTERESTED IN THE TRADES PROGRAM?
Here is your chance! The Careers Centre is offering a one day
tour of the Trades Program on Friday, December 12, 2014 at
Okanagan College in Kelowna. This full day outing will include
tours of both campuses and you will get a chance to visit
Carpentry, Welding, Heavy Duty/Commercial Transport, Auto
Body, Auto/RV Service, Plumbing, Sheet Metal, Electrical
Programs.
If you are interested, contact Miss Trovao in the Career Centre
(beside the Gym) between 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.to pick up a
Permission Form. Permission forms must be signed by a
parent or guardian and returned to Miss Trovao by MONDAY,

Senior Leadership project: During the winter holidays, we
will be handing out bags of small necessities to the less
fortunate citizens of Penticton. You can help by donating items
like coffee gift cards, grocery gift cards, Band-Aids, tissues,
mouthwash, non- perishable snacks, gloves, etc. Drop box is
located in the main office.

amount of garbage being left behind by students.
