Time of Flight Technology
Based upon the principle of radar:
1. A laser diode emits short but strong
pulses with a pause of several µs.
2. The pulses reach the target, come
back, and are received by an
avalanche
photodiode
(APD),
through a separate optic.
Time-of-Flight Technology
The time-of-flight (TOF) difference between
the transmission and the reception of the
same pulse is directly measured and
converted into a distance value.
