What is FRET?
• Florescence Resonance Energy Transfer

– FRET is a way to understand how close two molecules
are together
– This process includes one molecule that ABSORBS
florescence and one molecule that RELEASES
florescence
– The basis of this experiment is when the two
molecules moves closer together the light is
decreased and when the two molecules move away
from each other the amount of light is increased
