Ultrasound
The acoustic range from 16 kHz up to 1 GHz is called ultrasound.
The ultrasonic industrial sensor USi is designed for ultrasonic sensing in air
for many applications in industrial use.

General
Ultrasonic sensors are the ideal solution for presence
sensing detection of objects and for distance
measurement in a rough environment.
Objects made of any material can be detected
regardless of shape, transparency and color.
The time of the ultrasonic-pulses between sensor and
object is equal to the distance.

Intended use
The ultrasonic industrial sensor USi is designed for ultrasonic sensing in air for
many applications in industrial use. It is comprised of the Evaluation Unit and up
to 2 sensors (ultrasonic transducers).
It can be used to achieve the following functions
