Purpose
• Identify Channels/talk groups that may be added to
radio templates in Q1 2011 firmware refresh
• Simplify communications with Charlotte P25 (UASI
P25) network users.
– City of Charlotte
– Mecklenburg County
– Union County, NC
Channel and Talkgroup refresh
• Met with City of Charlotte IT/Technology Services
• Agreed to migrate from 1000 analog only IDs to digital IDs
• Agreed that all York County public safety radios
(fire/ems/law) would have access to Charlotte/Union
County system
• Agreed to place UASI “regional” talkgroups in our radios
Channel and Talkgroup refresh
• Agreed that we could re-use our 346xxxx ID range
– Less cumbersome to program and track for technicians
– Same ID for all P25 systems
• Network access will be given to all (public safety) mobiles
and portables
