Types of Slope

Introduction
• Slope is the measure of how steep a line is.
• There are four types:
1. Positive- slopes up from left to right
2. Negative-slopes down from left to right
3. Zero-horizontal line
4. Undefined-vertical line
The girl is running up a positive slope.
The Leaning Tower of Pisa has a positive slope.
This hill has a positive slope.
This ski mountain has a negative slope.
This slide has a negative slope.
The top of this cake has zero slope.
This cheerleader has her arm at a zero slope.
This dog is sleeping in a zero slope position.
These popsicle sticks have an undefined slope.
This flag pole has an undefined slope.
