10 Places I Want to Visit in Canada
Gillian O’Laney
In No Particular Order
1. Niagara Falls
Niagara Falls is a collective name
for 3 water falls located on the
international boarder between
Canada and The United States.
More specifically, Niagara Falls
is located between the province
of Ontario and state of New
York. I’d like to visit and see the
Canadian side of Niagara Falls
because I’ve heard our view is
nicer than America’s view. I also
want to see it because I want to
make up my own opinion on the
popular tourist attraction.
2. Banff National Park
Banff National Park is the oldest
national park in Canada and is
located in Alberta. I want to visit
this national park because from
what I’ve heard, it is a very
beautiful park filled with glaciers,
mountains, and dense forests. I
also want to visit Banff National
Park because it would be a nice
experience and Instagram photo.
3. Jasper National Park
Jasper National park is the
largest national park in the
Canadian Rockies which is
also located in Alberta just
north of Banff National
Park. I want to visit this
national park because it
includes waterfalls, hot
springs, mountains and
glaciers from the Columbia
Icefield.
4. CN Tower
The CN Tower is a tower in Toronto,
Ontario that is 147 stories tall. It was the
tallest tower in the world from 1976 to
2007. The tower attracts more than two
million international visitors each year. I
want to visit this site because it is still the
tallest tower in Canada and it would be a
great experience to have as a Canadian.
5. Bay of Fundy
The Bay of Fundy is a bay that
is known for having the
highest tidal range in the
world, and it is located
between the provinces of
New Brunswick and Nova
Scotia. In the picture, you can
see that the land can be
flooded with the high tide at
one point then dry and able to
be walked on the next. You
can also see how the tide has
formed the rocks over time. I’d
like to visit the Bay of Fundy
to see this through my own
eyes.
6. Toronto Zoo
The Toronto Zoo is Canada’s
largest zoo that is located in
Toronto, Ontario. I would
like to visit this zoo because
it is home to over 5,000
animals (including
invertebrates and fish)
representing over 450
species.
7. Algonquin Provincial Park
Algonquin Provincial Park is a provincial park located in Central
Ontario between Georgian Bay and the Ottawa River. It is the oldest
provincial park in Canada, and the unique mixture of forest types and
wide variety of environments allows the park to support an
uncommon diversity of plant and animal species. I would like to visit
this provincial park because it seems like a beautiful place with great
experiences and sites to witness.
8. Canadian Museum for
Human Rights
The Canadian Museum for
Human Rights is a Museum
located here in Winnipeg,
Manitoba that we are all
familiar with. I would like to
visit this new museum mostly
to further inspect and admire
the architecture, but also to
embrace this new addition to
Winnipeg.
9. Churchill
Churchill, Manitoba is a town on
the west shore of Hudson Bay. It
is most famous for the many
polar bears that move from
inland to the shore in autumn.
There is also many local tourism
businesses that give you the
opportunity to see these wild
polar bears up close. I want to
visit Churchill, Manitoba to see
the polar bears in their natural
habitat.
10. Marineland
Marineland is a popular tourist destination in Niagara Falls, Ontario. It is a
themed amusement and animal exhibition park with a blend of animal
attractions and rides. I want to visit this tourist attraction to see the Orcas,
Dolphins and Beluga Whales.
