Cinema:
a booming industry that unites

Promoting Indian cinema is getting to the heart of the Indian soul
France and India are two of very few countries who have
a century-old cinema tradition and such a passion for images.
In fact, every three months the equivalent of the whole Indian population
(one billion two hundred thousand people) visits the cinema.
India has over 10,000 multiplexes and produces
more than 1,200 feature films each year.
