Katoen Natie Khonaini ltd (www.knksa.com), a joint venture between Katoen Natie and Khonaini International Company, is established in 2007 and is active in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as a logistics service provider, offering value added logistics services to the chemical and petrochemical industry. Katoen Natie group (www.katoennatie.com) is a privately owned logistics service provider established in 1854, active in 34 countries worldwide employing over 11.000 people with operational headquarters in Antwerp, Belgium. As a global logistics service provider, Katoen Natie combines engineering, technology and port operations to offer worldwide tailor-­‐made solutions to the specialty chemical and petrochemical industry, the consumer goods and retail market, the commodity and general cargo market, the food and feed market, port operations and art storage market. Khonaini Group of Companies (www.khonaini.com) is a privately owned trading and contracting company, established in 1978 with headquarters in Jubail, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Since the establishment of Katoen Natie Khonaini in 2007, the company established growth by offering logistics services like packaging, warehousing, loading, forwarding, transport and maintenance services,…to several major chemical and petrochemical producers in Jubail, handling around 1,5 million ton of products every year and employing over 250 people. Today, Katoen Natie Khonaini is having a ‘platinum status’ employing over 20 % of Saudi Arabian citizens who are being trained in logistics like handling products, administration services and maintenance of technical installations. In 2012, Katoen Natie Khonaini acquired a plot of land of 344.000 m² in the middle of Jubail Industrial City I and Jubail Industrial City II, on the Dammam Jubail Highway 613 in order to build and operate a state-­‐of-­‐the-­‐art logistics facility for the local chemical and petrochemical industry. PHONE +966 133617518 Since the end of 2013, the first phase of the Katoen Natie Khonaini Logistics Terminal is operational. Katoen Natie Khonaini partly leveled and fenced the land, set up utilities and an office building with entry gate and asphalted a parking and outside storage area of 60.000 m². Besides this, a 30.000 m² concrete container yard and a first high-­‐end dust free dedicated rack warehouse of 8.000 m² was built. The warehouse is equipped with 1 gate and 6 dock levelers, mechanical ventilation and has a free height of 12 m. Katoen Natie Khonaini invested over 100.000.000 SAR to realize phase I. In the near future, Katoen Natie Khonaini will expand its logistics facilities in Jubail in order to serve the local industry with state-­‐of-­‐the-­‐art warehouses, silos, packaging installations and handling equipment.
