Personal letter
Who am I?
I’m a middle age man who likes to ponder on solutions. I’ve always been
interested in how things work and at the same time, how things look. This
eventually led to me graduating as a industrial designer. I’m often described
as kind, easy to work with and thorough in my work.
Experiences
Currently I’m running my own company, KLURA design (”to figure design”). I started the company in late 2014. I also got my bachelor degree in
industrial design earlier the same year. The three years at the Mid Sweden
university were incredibly fun and giving and also led me on to the idea of
starting my company. During the education we worked on several projects
including product design and experience design. You can of course read
more about this in my portfolio. We also studied typography and communication to further widen our knowledge.
Most of my earlier working experiences have included problem solving,
costumer relations and good service spirit in general. I’m experienced in
working individually as well as in a group.
Why industrial design? What I like about industrial design is the challenge to not only solve the technical issues, as we humans have been doing
for so long, but to design with the user in focus. Combining the aesthetic,
ergonomic and technical sides of designing is a fun challenge.
In the free time
Composing music, riding my motorcycle, snowboarding, playing my
ukulele, painting, sketching, training, teaching karate. The list of hobbies
seams to newer end. On interest that have stuck with me for a over 20 years
now is Karate, the Japanese martial art. The combination of different types
of challenges included in (traditional) Karate is fascinating - mush like the
challenges of being a designer!
