Our school is a big institution with high school,
vocational school and adult education activities.

• We qualify students and adults in a very
large palette of qualifications.
• The school is equipped with 10
specialized laboratories for the following
domains:
– analysis of environmental factors,
– production of milk, meat, bakery products,
– chemical analysis and physical experiments,
– telecommunications,
– electromechanical, automation,
– mechanics and processing,
– textile and leather assembly,
– internet and multimedia communication,
– computer science.

Grundtvig project Adult Learning in Cultural Event are just a
few of the applicant’s volunteering work results .
Technical College “Gheorghe Cartianu” was awarded with
the title European School in 2010 for its sustained work in
promoting European values .
• The particular focus of
education in our school is
on social integration of
disadvantaged people ,
equal opportunities for all
the students by and
inclusive education ,
intercultural dialogue
between different ethnic
origins , freedom of
expression and
communication , human
rights protection , active
citizenship are the main
focuses of the educational
work in our school either it
is dedicated to youth
students or to adult
learners .
• We held an international workshop for
adult learners in the frame of the project
Adult Learning in cultural Event in April
2010.
• At the workshop participated 7 learners
from Belgium, 4 learners from Bulgaria, 4
learners from Lithuania, 3 learners from
Italy, 3 learners from Spain and 6 learners
from Romania.
• The workshop lasted 5 days and it
included a trip to monasteries and
museums from Neamt county, 2 sessions
of power-point presentations, a practical
workshop on popular dance and an
exhibition of handicraft works.
•
In the Grundtvig project ALICE we realized a Compendium of good practices for
organization and promotion of cultural events, we improved our capacity for nonformal adult education and for integration of adults by non-formal education.
• The range of qualifications that can be obtained in our
school is very wide and can be divided into five major
areas: computers and computer science, electronics and
telecommunications, mechanical and metalworking,
construction and building design, textiles and leather,
chemistry and environmental protection, food industry
and services . In each one of this areas we can qualify
our students at level 2 or 3 ( VET school level or VET
high-school level ).
• We can also qualify adults for seven qualifications :
Technician in computer science , Worker for building
crawling , Worker for textile assembling ,Worker on CNC
machines ,Welder , Locksmith for metal structures and
technological equipment ,Operator for data introduction ,
validation and processing.
• The students are often coming from poor families at risk
of social exclusion. The industry in our county is situated
at a low level considering enterprises’ competitiveness
as compared to the EU partners with consequences in
creating jobs and so in diminishing the attractiveness of
education and training; In the same time the hospitality
services are well and continuously increasing
developed as a result of the fact that Neamt County has
many possible opportunities to excel in tourism
marketing as an economic development generator. The
natural environment of the region and the diversity of
attractions is one good opportunity for development with
the condition of a good ecologic education provided to
the future workers with possible impact of the hall
population living in the area .
