Operating Details
•
When the Room Post is in stand by mode, an “on duty” message is displayed
and all lights are switched off.
From this mode, the system offers the following functionalities:
•
The patient may press or pull any call button or switch (bed, bathroom or
Room Post). In this case, the ATICA Monitoring Nurse Call Server and all
control phones assigned to that operating area display the call indicating the
bed the call is related to. The Room Posts of that operating area in presence
mode display the room number the call is coming from. The external red light
will start blinking, the Room Post red LED will switch on and beep, and other
call switch lights (bed or bathroom) will switch on.
• When a nursing staff answers the call the external red light will become fixed,
the Room Post red LED will remain on and the beep warning will stop, and
other call switch lights (bed or bathroom) will switch off.

When a nursing staff enters the room pressing the Room Post presence
button, all warning lights will switch off and the external green light and
Room Post green LED will switch on.
•
If the nursing staff requires support when the room is in presence mode, he
or she may push the Room Post red button or any call switch (bed or
bathroom). In this case, all Room Posts in presence mode of that operating
area will display a support message for that specific room. In this case, the
external red light will start blinking, the Room Post red LED will switch and
beep, and other call switch lights (bed or bathroom) will switch on. The
external green light and Room Post green LED will remain ON.

If a nursing staff answers the support call, all red and green lights become
fixed.
• If the nursing staff is in support mode and requires doctor assistance, he or
she may press the Room Post red button or any call switch (bed or bathroom)
to switch to emergency mode. All Room Posts in presence mode of that
operating area will display a doctor assistance required message for the
specific room. In this case, the external red light will start blinking, the Room
Post red LED will switch and beep, and other call switch lights (bed or
bathroom) will switch on. The external green light and the Room Post green
LED will remain on.

If the doctor answers the call, all red and green lights become fixed.
•
When the doctor enters the room and presses the Room Post green presence
button or the presence button, the Room Post will get back to a presence
mode
