The Institute now has a CERTIFICATION BLUEPRINT for each new certification that guides examination candidates toward selected preparatory resources – such as training, publications, etc. The Institute will work with NACE departments that may choose to develop an array of supporting resources, including: Training Courses Workshops/Seminars Regional Offerings Publications Etc. New Institute Programs Focus: MR0175 New Certification, Q1 2015 Technical understanding and knowledge of Standard NACE-ANSI MR0175/ISO 15156 Materials selection in upstream sour service conditions and environmental conditions 2-hour multiple choice open book exam with 1-hour essay with problem solving/case study (planned) Recertification period is 3 years with 1.5 years work experience New Institute Programs Focus: Refining New Certification, Q1 2015 Understanding of corrosion principles specific to the refining industry and processes 4-hour open book exam Recertification period is 3 year with 1.5 years work experience 4 different paths for pre-requisites: All require varying years of work experience, education levels. All require the application and exam. New Institute Programs Focus: Coatings Business Accreditation Services Coating Contractor Accreditation: March 2015 Individual Certification Programs Coating Applicator Certification – knowledge base is patterned on NACE/SSPC Standard on personnel qualifications for industrial painters. Renewal application process online at naceinstitute.org (since 2011) It’s an easy 3 step process: 1. Certificate holder fills out application online, with work history. 2. NACE staff reviews the application to ensure all requirements have been met and verifies work experience with employer(s). 3. NACE staff provides new wallet card to certificate holder.
