Helping Dealers into the 21 st
Century
Omni-Watch Dealer Services (OWDS) is the culmination of years of frustration with the security industry’s failure to bring training on today’s high-tech components down to a level that the ordinary independent dealer can understand and appreciate. If you are one of the many independent security dealers around the country who have reached the boiling point trying to sort through all of the “IT Speak” of the manufacturers representatives, and are tired of only getting the online or phone support offered by a “technical support” person who has NEVER installed the product in actual field conditions, then OWDS is your answer!
We constantly search the marketplace for innovative new products and services
We field-test all of these new items to verify that they will perform as advertised, - and also find the bugs that the manufacturer doesn’t tell you about
We develop best practices for installation that account for all of the real-world issues not discovered by the manufacturer in their laboratory development process
We develop marketing material and processes that WORK to bring customers to you
We maintain a staff of field-proven technicians and sales consultants to train your crew
We strive to bring new sources of
RECURRING MONTHLY REVENUE (RMR) to you to build long-term cash flow and higher sale value to your business when you decide to retire
We develop end-user support material that your average client can really understand and use
We bring your business into the 21st century world of high-tech security, without the stress of learning things like network configuration and internet protocol structure, that can result in your company taking the blame for client network failure, since your tech was the “last one who worked on it” .
Most of our products utilize “Push Technology” which requires little or no network configuration
We are factory representatives for the OzVision line of off-site stored security products. OzVision has developed a unique encoder/transmitter unit that uses standard analog surveillance cameras to send live and recorded images to a secure storage facility located “in the cloud”. Thus product requires only a physical connection to the client’s router, with NO NETWORK CONFIGURATION NEEDED by your technician, because it actually TRANSMITS the data to the storage facility.
The system allows clients to interact with their video data by MAC or Windows PC’s and laptops, as well as most tablets and smart phones, without downloading an app. Additionally, multiple locations can be viewed from a single log-in, allowing your clients with multiple locations to literally be in all of them at the same time, without having to install complicated compilation software in their viewing PC.
Residential installations are always on-line, as the dynamic IP structure found in home internet applications have NO EFFECT on the OzVision system. These systems can be installed affordably for the end-user, and will generate an installation profit and as much as $35.00 net RMR for the installing dealer.
Since the OzVision unit has no moving parts, it can be installed in applications where a traditional
DVR would not survive. Some of these markets include entry gates, community pools, remote guard houses, telecommunication towers, oil and gas well sites, construction sites, and a variety of other non-traditional applications. Incorporating the OzVision product line into your current offering will allow you to enter countless new markets with a product that in simpler to install than a basic alarm system, and is significantly MORE PROFITABLE !
Omni-Watch Dealer Services was created in 2010 to assist small to medium size security dealers in their struggle to stay on top of the ever-changing product and service landscape of the 21st century.
Our staff has been in the security industry since 1987, and has witnessed the unbelievable growth and development of the industry from simple electronic alarm systems that connected to POTS lines, to the multitude of systems available today, that use all forms of communications media to allow endusers to do everything from routine alarm functions to observing and controlling their daily lives. As baby boomers, we have struggled to keep up with this ever-changing world, and we have sought ways to simplify the process of keeping up with these changes. By thinking outside the box and exploring all possible uses for today’s technology, we have developed simplified methods to both sell and install a multitude of products and services that WILL increase your RMR.
OWDS was founded by Butch Davis, who established his own alarm services company, Rapid
Response Systems, in 1990, after working as a branch manager for a mid sized firm starting in 1987.
RRS followed the traditional model of installing residential and commercial alarm systems, access control systems, and VHS CCTV Systems, as well as residential and commercial fire alarm systems.
With the entry of Tyco into the security arena in the mid 1990’s, RRS then found it necessary to expand its footprint into new areas in order to survive the onslaught of “FREE” alarm systems offered by firms with the goal of selling out to the big boys offering astronomical purchase multiples for alarm accounts. RRS, through many years of trial and error, developed techniques and relationships with proven suppliers that actually work to bring solutions like off-site stored video to dealers as small as a single operator, in a form that a technician with literally no IT savvy can install. OWDS now offers these processes to other dealers and has also developed marketing and sales techniques that will allow you to present all of your services in a unique way that will allow you to stand out from the crowd of ordinary dealers and succeed in adding more RMR to your bottom line!
