KK Precision commenced its manufacturing activity in the year
1984. It was a humble beginning with just grinding and lathe
machines, carrying out simple jobs for the unorganized sector, which
were developed to meet simple assembly functions, it was a stage
where the manufacturer and our customers met face to face and
discussed requirements. It was at this juncture that we were able to
obtain small batch requirements from the organized sector that
helped us in improving our manufacturing capabilities and add value
to the jobs carried out by us.
Manufacturing Infrastructure
Over the years, we felt the need to add more machines, this
resulted in better customer service and a motivation to the
company to, improve its knowledge and manufacturing capability.
As of now, we have a variety of machines which include CNC
Vertical machining center, CNC Turning Centres, added to the
existing conventional milling and drilling machines. This has
resulted in us, being able to manufacture various types of
precision components used in the automobile sector and diesel
engines and locomotives.
To Cater the customer requirement of Fully Finished Components
with castings,we had taken over the Casting manufacturing Unit
Ditech Industries, Kolhapur
To take care of the power problems, we have equipped with ‘DG
Sets’ so that we reduce our reliance on ‘MSEB’ power and ensure
better and continuous productivity.
With these Advanced Technology Machinery KK Industries has
become the State or Art manufacturing Unit

Preventive Maintenance
To ensure continuous process capability in respect of all product
characteristics, we have an independent maintenance setup with
the required spare parts, which ensures periodic monitoring of the
machines.
Employee Profile
Employees with the Engineering qualification have been placed in
key positions to take care of Quality System requirement,
production planning, purchase and Quality assurance activities.
The other employees who are responsible for day to day production
and quality assurance activities, have formal education with
industrial training institute background.

Sister in concern KK Industries is certified for ISO-9001 : 2000
Quality System Management Standard by TUV Rhineland
Training
Realizing the need for continuous training and upgradation of
employee knowledge, the management has an ongoing training
programme which covers all employees, training is provided both in
house and through external agencies.
Number of Employees
As of now, KK Precision and its sister concerns have 35 employees,
the company is proud to reveal that at least 60 employees are with us
for over 3 years.
Products Manufactured
KK Precision and its sister concerns are engaged in the manufacture
of Precision Turned and Milled Components used in the automobile
industry and on the diesel engines and locomotives.
The
components produced at our works are of complex design and have
closed manufacturing tolerances.
Raw Material
As a value added activity, we have gradually moved towards
obtaining our own raw materials from recognized/reputed mills. For
this activity, we have relied on the customers guidelines, and in due
course, device our own methodology for the inspection and
acceptance of raw materials using the assistance of metallurgical
facilities available in Pune.
Measuring Instruments
To ensure measurement of all characteristics on manufactured parts,
we have obtained a variety of instruments which also includes the
latest TRIMOS. Customers can be assured that all product
characteristics will get verified and process optimization improved to
ensure the required process capability indices.

Process Monitoring
As a preventive measure, we have Statistical Techniques operating
for critical product characteristic, so that an early warning of failures
could be detected. Most of our skilled workmen are aware of the
statistical techniques introduced, this makes it much easier to initiate
corrective actions.
Expansion Programme
With the coming of Multi-National companies, and encouraged by the
enquires, we are poised for further growth, we have plans to further
modernize our industries by adding infrastructure to meet these needs
and plan to diversify into Tool-room / Tooling activities.
We are planning to set a separate plant which will equipped with VMC and
HMC for Cummins India Limited.
The Company, today is equipped with all modern facilities. It is well
connected with Telephones, Fax, E-mail and Cellular phones.
