Project name: Motor diagnostics
GE India Technology center Pvt Ltd, Bangalore.
Project description: Early detection of faults in stator windings and rotor bars in three phase
induction motors through analysis of motor currents and voltages. Primary responsibilities
included planning and conduction of experiments, LabVIEW programming for data acquisition,
MATLAB analysis of experimental data, and result consolidation and presentation. Additional
tasks included programming and interfacing Multilin motor management relays and conducting
DLRO-based resistance measurements on high ampacity(1.5+ kA) connections.
Project name: Design and develop a Atomic Force Microscopy and Fiber interferometer.

Project description:
Designed and developed application for LabView based PID/DAC interfacing for AFM. Design
and built a high voltage piezo motion controller with HV power supply (± 150 V) and HV
amplifier using BB 3584. Design preamplifier for characterizing a Quartz Tuning fork used in
AFM as a cantilever force sensor. Built a sample approach mechanism and scanning technique
using a hammer and scanner piezo tube. Design signal detection system for optical tweezers
with a quadrant photo detection technique. Design and built APD power supply for fluorescent
correlation spectroscopy.
