During the first decade of operation the company focused on the Europe/Far East trade, eventually leading the pack in freight forwarding between Europe and Japan. 1988 By 1988, JAS became the No. 1 IATA licensed air freight forwarder in Italy. Late 1980s to 1990s The late 1980s and 1990s saw the expansion of the Group network from Europe and the Far East to North and South America, as it established a truly global presence.
