What is RFID?
• An Automatic Identification (AID) Sensor based Data Carrier
Technology using Radio Waves for low to long range
identification & tracking
• Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) is embraced as a very

items, data capture and item management

battery assist. Works on 865 – 867 MHz UHF Band. Global EPC
Gen 2 Class 1 protocols, ISO 18000 6C standards. Read range
upto 15 meters. Cost effective. Tag life upto 20 years
• Active RFID Technology: Battery enabled active tags,
proprietary protocol specific to manufacturer. Read range of
upto 100 meters. Battery life of 1 year-depends on signaling
frequency. Can be featured with real time Positioning
• Semi Active Technology: Battery assisted variant of
Passive tags. Range of upto 35 meters. Same protocols and
standards as passive RFID

• e-Timber application is developed by the ABLogics Private Limited for
Government of Karnataka, Department of Forest
• The e-Timber application software is specifically designed for the user handling
Extractions in the department and timber sales at government timber depot. The
government timber depots keep records of inward receipts, sales and
accounting, disposal of forest produce subsequently providing the stock of
inventory and information on revenue generated
